Accenture alumnus Christian Skaanild joins Bordier & Cie
Christian Skaanild, a former consultant at Accenture, has joined Swiss private bank Bordier & Cie.
Skaanild started his career at Accenture in the United Kingdom after graduating from the University of Nottingham with a degree in industrial economics. He spent three years in the firm’s consulting division, and then moved into the private equity industry.
The 45-year-old Danish-born banker worked two years for venture capital firm Antfactory in London as well as Tokyo, and then joined Capital Group, one of the world’s largest global asset management firms. Skaanild worked 18 years for the investment group, based in London, Tokyo, Singapore and Geneva. In his latest role, he oversaw private equity in emerging markets.
Commenting on Skaanild’s appointment Grégoire Bordier, managing partner at Bordier & Cie, said: “Appointing Christian Skaanild enables us to continue our strategic development. His experience in the financial industry, his international profile and career in private equity will provide us with the expertise to navigate these sophisticated markets, which have become essential for our wealth management clients.”
Skaanild becomes the fourth partner with unlimited liability at Bordier & Cie, alongside Grégoire Bordier, Evrard Bordier and Michel Juvet – they vouch for the bank's solvency with their personal funds. The Swiss wealth manager also has two limited partners, Patrice Lagnaux and Alessandro Caldana.
Founded in 1844, Bordier & Cie is an international private banker with unlimited liability, owned and managed by the fifth generation of its founding families. The financial services institution is headquartered in Geneva and has further offices in Bern, Nyon and Zurich.
