Nfq Advisory Services has been appointed a global implementation partner of Calypso Technology, becoming one of the just thirteen consultancies to hold the status.

With over 35,000 users in 60+ countries, Calypso Technology is one of the globe’s larger providers of software solutions to financial markets. The company’s cloud-based solutions help institutions with among others capital markets, investment management, central banking, clearing, treasury, liquidity, and collateral management.

To implement its technology at clients, Calypso works with a cohort of business consulting firms and IT firms, in order to ensure a smooth roll-out process and provide it with a global reach. Having served as a trusted partner for years, Nfq Advisory Services has now on the back of its track record in the field been elevated to global partner status.

Nfq Advisory Services is a Spain-headquartered consulting firm that provides business and technology services to four main sectors: banking, capital markets, insurance and real estate. The firm, which employs more than 1,000 professionals, has been working on Calypso implementation projects for over eight years.

The firm positions itself as an end-to-end consultant on such engagements, coming aboard in the design phase, and then working from migration, configuration and integration all the way through to roll-out and change management. “We are well-placed to add value to new and existing Calypso clients,” said Laura Aspas, Markets Managing Partner at Nfq.

“Our team of experienced professionals encompass in-depth market and technical knowledge combined with Calypso-related functional and technical expertise, and project management skills.” She added: “This partnership consolidates Nfq’s commitment to deliver work of the highest standard to Calypso clients.”

While the partnership will span clients globally – Nfq has offices in Madrid, London, Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Miami – the focus will be on its sweet spot markets: Europe and the Americas.

“Nfq’s experience of working with Calypso in Europe and their commitment to grow in the Americas, where our client community continues to increase by double-digits every year, is particularly valuable in helping us to meet our ambitions,” said Philippe Carré, Global Head Strategic Alliances at Calypso.

Other global partners of Calypso Technology are Accenture, Cognizant, Everis, First Derivatives, Genpact, Infosys, Luxoft, Quinnox, Sophos Solutions, Synechron and Tata Consultancy Services.
