Edmond Alblas leads IG&H's Banking & Insurance practices
Dutch management consulting firm IG&H has appointed a new lead partner for its Banking and Insurance practices: Edmond Alblas.
“We’re delighted that Edmond has joined the firm,” said Jan van Hasenbroek, managing partner of IG&H, a consulting firm with around 275 consultants and professionals focused on four sectors: banking & insurance, pensions, retail and healthcare.
“Edmond brings deep financial services industry experience to the role, and understands what is needed to bridge the gap between strategy and execution and the role of digital in complex transformations.”
Prior to joining IG&H, Alblas worked at four large consultancies. At both KPMG and Deloitte, he was a partner in the financial services practice. Before that, he spent over a decade at PA Consulting in Utrecht and Accenture in Amsterdam. Alblas spent the first nine years of his professional career outside of consulting, having served Xerox as a sales manager and Shell in its finance department.
He brings deep expertise in strategy, operating model design, business transformation, technology and change management to the role, and a client roster including the likes of ABN AMRO, Barclays, ING and Rabobank in banking; Achmea, Allianz, Axa and NN in insurance; and APG, PGGM and MN Services in pensions.
Alblas now leads IG&H’s largest industry vertical comprising a team of 80+ consultants – since founding in 1988, the consultancy has served over twenty of the top banks and insurance companies in the Netherlands. “I am very excited to leverage my experience to help the Dutch financial service industry successfully navigate a changing landscape,” he said.
Asked what motivated his move to IG&H, he said: “What makes IG&H very appealing to me, is the firm’s multidisciplinary approach, enabling an end-to-end solution to customers.”
