Unit4 launches partner program for consultancies and IT firms

Software company Unit4 has launched a Global Partner Program, in a bid to bolster the consulting, implementation and training support it provides its growing client base globally. 

Unit4 is a provider of Enterprise Resource Planning software solutions for organisations across sectors. From its humble beginnings in the Netherlands in the early ‘80s, today the company serves clients in 25 countries across Europe, North America, the Asia-Pacific region and Africa, generating revenues of around €500 million. 

Last year, Unit4’s flagship ERP system was named one of the world’s leading cloud ERP vendors by Constellation Research, an independent analyst firm. Unit4 also provides solutions for among others financial planning, human capital management and student management. 

As part of its strategy to strengthen its client services, and following suit of most major software vendors such as Oracle, SAP and Microsoft, Unit4 has launched a Global Partner Program.

Beata Wright, Global Head of Partner Ecosystems at Unit4, explained: “As customer expectations continue to rise, our Global Partner Program is tailored to help us meet those expectations. This new Unit4 partner experience will allow us to solve our customers’ complex business requirements with an enhanced portfolio of solutions and services.”

Meanwhile, by establishing a global partner community, Unit4 will be able to tap in the networks and knowledge base of leading professional services firms globally, enabling it to “continue to scale its business, to meet growing demand” according to Wright, who is based in Canada. 

Holger Mueller, an Analyst at Constellation Research, welcomed the move: “A strong partner ecosystem delivers interoperable specialist solutions that deliver value at the heart of customer pain points.” 

Partnership categories

Three partnership categories have been rolled-out:

  • Service and Delivery partners, who are systems integrators and implementation partners, with deep knowledge of Unit4 solutions enabling them to deliver fast implementation, integrated solutions, and support services.
  • Go-To-Market partners, such as resellers, value-added resellers, and OEMs, who are an extension of the Unit4 team and are responsible for selling, implementing and supporting Unit4 solutions;
  • Product and Innovation partners, including independent software vendors and OEM partners, with the key skills to optimise the functionality and performance of Unit4 solutions;

The launch coincides with the admission of around 50+ firms into its partnership programme. “Our partners have a demonstrated experience with Unit4 products and have a consistent track record in meeting the highest level of success with Unit4 and customers,” said Wright.
