Frank van Es appointed to Board of TwynstraGudde
Four years after becoming a partner, Frank van Es has been appointed a board member at TwynstraGudde. As of the 1st of September, he forms the two-person leadership team of the management consultancy together with fellow director Micky Adriaansens.
Frank van Es has been working at TwynstraGudde for 12 years, the last four of which were spent as managing partner of its mobility and infrastructure advisory group. The practice specialises in asset management, helping infrastructure managers with organisational issues, such as replacing and renovating assets, and making their operations more sustainable.
In his new role as a member of the board, he will mainly focus on strengthening TwynstraGudde's market activities, as clients look to weather the economic storm brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite the crisis, TwynstraGudde – a member firm of global consulting network Cordence Worldwide – has continued its upward trend. The consultancy can look back as one of its best years (2019) in the last fifteen, having enjoyed 11% growth in turnover, while doubling net profit.
And in 2020 so far, TwynstraGudde is “doing better than we had estimated before Corona,” said Adriaansens on the firm’s bullish performance. “We mainly benefit from the fact that we have many government organisations among our customers, and as a result most projects are being continued. About 60% to 70% of our work is with central and local governments and public sector agencies.”
Van Es pointed out that clients are now looking for independent expertise and proven capabilities. “There is a lot of work during a crisis. And as we respond to challenges quickly, we are top of mind for our customers.”
The new board member expects the firm’s track record will enable further growth. The firm counts high profile clients like Schiphol Airport, the Port of Rotterdam, and numerous ministries to its clientele, and also boasts a high-level customer satisfaction. Recently TwynstraGudde was voted one of the best consulting firms in the Netherlands by clients.
But, “we are still too modest on our track record and the results we deliver. With our knowledge of and experience in project and program management, change management and collaborative science, we work on the social challenges of tomorrow. We can be proud of that and showcase it more.”
After breaking the news of his promotion on LinkedIn, Van Es has been inundated with compliments. He has received more than 500 likes and comments from colleagues, clients and friends and family.
TwynstraGudde has about 300 partners, advisors and staff. Looking ahead, the consultancy has set its sights on growing its team to 400 people by 2024.
