Within a month of onboarding two partners, Strategy& has added another four partners in its growing German business.
Last month, Christian Wilkens (hired from IQVIA) and Florian Groene (relocated from Strategy& in the US) joined the firm’s partnership, and now the quartet of Albert Zimmermann, Andreas Gissler, Christian Brickenstein and Frederik Blachetta have followed in their footsteps.
Albert Zimmermann is a Munich-based partner in the Defence and Security practice of Strategy&. His primary focus lies on advising Ministries of Defence, supra-national defence organizations as well as prime suppliers in the defence industry on large-scale transformation programs including programme strategy, digitisation, governance, operating model design, and culture change.
Zimmermann has been with the consultancy his entire career, having joined in 2009 (at the time Booz & Company).
Andreas Gissler has been hired externally, appointed a partner in the Automotive practice. Based in Frankfurt, the 51-year-old advises clients customers on the topics of digitisation, business transformation, connected vehicles, e-mobility, and marketing and sales transformations including aftersales.
He brings over 20 years of experience advising customers in the automotive and industrial sectors. Before joining Strategy&, he headed the automotive business of Accenture Strategy, and before his six years spell at Accenture, he served another international management consultancy.
Christian Brickenstein has been promoted to partner in Strategy&’s Automotive practice. He has 18 years of international experience, thirteen of which were gained in consulting. Before joining Strategy& in 2015, he worked for rival Oliver Wyman, Management Engineers (which in fact was acquired by Strategy&’s legal predecessor Booz & Company) and EY.
Outside of consulting, Brickenstein worked for Volkswagen in China and Germany. At the consultancy, he specialises in strategy, performance improvement, operating model design and change management, covering all phases from concept to implementation. He works for mainly car manufacturers, automotive OEMs and suppliers in Western and Eastern Europe, USA, and China.
Frederik Blachetta is a Berlin-based partner in Strategy&’s Public Sector practice. He leads the firm’s Government team and advises federal and state ministries, agencies as well as technology companies across Europe and the Middle East. He specialises in digitisation, technology, transformation, strategy and policy development.
Before joining Strategy& in 2015, he worked for Capgemini Invent in Berlin and financial services consulting firm Capco in Frankfurt.
Strategy& is the strategy consulting business of Big Four firm PwC. The firm was established in 2014 after PwC acquired Booz & Company, but its roots trace back to the founding of Booz Allen Hamilton in 1918.
