What are the top outsourcing companies for IT services in Sweden? According to a survey of business owners responsible for IT outsourcing and cloud contracts in the Scandinavian country, a group of ten IT outsourcing companies lead the way.

Across Sweden and the Nordics, IT leaders are relatively satisfied with the services of the third-party companies that have insourced their IT, according to a study by Whitelane Research and PA Consulting. The average satisfaction score is 69%, which is “a relatively high figure” compared to other Western European countries such as the UK, Germany and the Netherlands, said Peter Wardell, a sourcing expert at PA Consulting.

Cost reduction and being able to focus on the core business remain the largest drivers of outsourcing in the region. Against the backdrop of the current covid-19-induced downturn, these drivers are expected to remain atop the priority list. Wardell: “And, with the economy in a recession, outsourcing will likely increase in the coming year,” forecasted Wardell as companies push for further cost cutting efficiencies.

Other major drivers of IT outsourcing are scalability and flexibility – in combination with cloud environments, IT outsources have more expertise and capacity to optimise applications and infrastructures – and quality improvements, including IT innovation and efficiently running mandatory IT upgrades.

Global consulting and technology giant Accentureis in third place, with HCL and CGI rounding off the top five. The top 10 further consists of Fujitsu, Capgemini, TietoEVRY, Wipro and Atos.
