Oliver Wyman has launched ‘The Casecracker’, an event for students and young professionals in the Netherlands aspiring a career in strategy consulting.

The recruitment event will take place on three consecutive Friday afternoons – 13, 20 and 27 November 2020 – and is aimed at giving participants an in-depth understanding of what strategy consulting entails, and what it’s like to work at Oliver Wyman. With over 5,000 employees globally, Oliver Wyman is one of the world’s largest and renowned strategic consultancies, serving clients from its 60+ offices worldwide.

The Casecracker is an event organised by the firm’s Amsterdam office, and is aimed at students from Dutch and Belgian universities, and at graduates who currently live in the Netherlands or in Belgium. Since it was established in 2013, Oliver Wyman’s Dutch office has grown to a size of around 45 partners and consultants. The office is continuously looking for unique and ambitious talent from all backgrounds to join the firm.

The event will kick-off with an introduction into the world of strategy consulting; introducing Oliver Wyman and the Amsterdam office. Presentations and workshops will be delivered by the firm’s industry experts. After a training on the key skills needed to become a strategy consultant (e.g. problem solving, teamwork, etc.), participants will work on challenging cases in teams.

All participants will receive coaching and guidance throughout the experience. To ensure that the participants have a fun time as well as develop their professional skills, several social activities will also be organised.

Sharing their experiences with attending an Oliver Wyman recruitment event, former participant Isa Ruchser said “I learned so much, and it was fun all around”, while fellow participant Jochen Schuler said “It was a really unique experience, I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

To apply for the event: Fill out this form on the website of Oliver Wyman before the 11th October 2020.

In light of the current Covid-19 guidelines in the Netherlands, The Casecracker 2020 event will take place virtually.
