Accenture Strategy leader Lise Malbernard joins Publicis Sapient

Digital transformation consultancy Publicis Sapient has installed a new boss for its French operation: Lise Malbernard. 

The new Country Managing Director France joins the firm from Accenture, where she spent over 15 years most recently in the role of Managing Director for Accenture Strategy in France and Leader of the firm’s Consumer Goods practice for France and the Benelux (Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands).

During her tenure at Accenture, Malbernard led teams focused on delivering growth strategy, digital transformation, operating model improvement, risk management and tech-driven innovation at clients in multiple industries. Her own focus was on engagements across six sectors: agribusiness, food & beverage, consumer goods, oil & gas, energy & utilities and transportation.

Now at Publicis Sapient, she leads the firm’s French consulting, customer experience, digital and technology teams – one of the groups largest country units. Welcoming her to the firm, Agathe Bousquet, the CEO of France at parent Publicis, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Lise. She will add a new dimension to help transform our industry.” 

Meanwhile, the global CEO of 20,000-strong Publicis Sapient, Nigel Vaz, added: “Lise is an exceptional leader with a demonstrated ability to execute a strategy for a wide range of clients and lead them into the digital age. I’m excited about the experience, and unique skills set she will add to Publicis Sapient.”

Based in Paris, Malbernard will report to Atul Mehta, Publicis Sapient’s Managing Director for EMEA. She said: “I am delighted to join the Publicis Sapient team and be part of a business that has demonstrated innovation, resilience, corporate social and environmental responsibility and dedication to clients during such a transformative time.”
