Karen van der Kolk and Michal Murtin join BOLD as partners

Dutch management consulting firm BOLD has added two partners to its leadership: Karen van der Kolk and Michal Murtin. 

Karen van der Kolk is an experienced consultant and line manager with over two decades of experience. Prior to joining BOLD, she was an independent consultant, and worked as the Director of Innovation & Growth at Technical Valley, a professional services firm to the energy sector. Before that, she held several senior management roles at USG People, including serving as General Manager of its HR division.

Earlier in her career, Van der Kolk spent five years at boutique management consultancy Nolan, Norton & Company, which she joined having completed her traineeship at Ormit. 

Karen van der Kolk and Michal Murtin join BOLD

Michal Murtin is a senior finance professional specialised in restructuring and turnaround projects. He previously spent over thirteen years at EY and KPMG, latterly as a Director in KPMG’s Deal Advisory practice focused on financial management, distressed deals, working capital management and turnarounds. 

Over the past years he held a number of interim finance positions in group treasury and business control, among others at industrial group Bosal and marine technology specialist Royal IHC. 

At BOLD, Van der Kolk is a partner in its Transformations practice, while Murtin is a member of the Turnaround practice.

Founded in 2013, BOLD has around 30 partners and consultants operating from an office in Baarn.
