Artefact has strengthened its Data Consulting practice in the Netherlands with newly appointed Director Ties Carbo.

The former BCG and Deloitte consultant has been brought on board to expand Artefact’s Dutch data consultancy capabilities. The domestic unit is led by Managing Partner Arnold Struik, formerly a partner at SparkOptimus. “We are overjoyed to have him on the team. It marks the next step in our growth.”

“Many organisations have the ambition to do more with data and artificial intelligence but struggle with putting this into action. It requires people who can translate business needs into a data strategy with solid, achievable initiatives and priorities. And who are able to implement this successfully. Ties is one of them and will help our current team accelerate in this field.”

Ties Carbo, Director, Artefact

Carbo started his career as a cyber security advisor at Deloitte. After two years in this role, he moved to Boston Consulting Group, first serving subsidiary Platinion and afterwards BCG’s Technology Advantage practice where he worked as a project lead focused on (digital) transformation. During this time, Carbo consulted multinationals on topics such as data strategy, advanced analytics, data governance and agile.

After four years at BCG, he has now joined Artefact, an international 800-strong data consulting, data marketing and digital activation firm. What specifically attracted him in Artefact was the company’s entrepreneurial spirit (“We don’t talk about data, we act”), growth potential and healthy work-life balance.

In his new role, he focuses on strategy and transformation projects in the field of data & technology with a focus on people and change management.

Globally, Artefact has operations in twelve countries. The firm’s Dutch office is based in Utrecht.
