Deloitte buys Danish digital supply chain consultancy Syncronic
Deloitte has acquired Syncronic, a Nordic advisory and implementation firm specialised in digital supply chain management.
Since founding in 2006 by Lars Kissow, Fredrik Olsson and Stefan Glar-Hammarsund, Syncronic has grown into a 30-strong consulting firm dedicated to tech-driven supply chain transformations. The firm, which has offices in Denmark and Sweden, works across several technology stacks, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP and Kinaxis.
The full leadership team, which today also includes Søren Klinkby, Søren Unn Nielsen, Henrik Knak, Kristoffer Steen and Martin Johansen, will join Deloitte’s Consulting practice, and be integrated into the Supply Chain service line (led by Bente Mølbæk Christensen) and SAP service line (led by David Egebjerg Colgan).
According to Martin Søegaard, managing partner of Deloitte Consulting in the Nordics, the bolt-on cements Deloitte’s position as the “leading supply chain consultancy in the Nordics with regards to both advisory and implementation”.
While Deloitte has a team that delivers supply chain strategy, network optimisation and process engineering projects, Syncronic deepens its digital capabilities with extensive experience in technology, advanced planning and SAP, at a time when digital transformation is one of the top priorities for supply chain leaders globally amid the disruption triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic.
For Syncronic, the move enables the firm to tap “Deloitte's talent pool, deep competencies and global network” which will open up a “wealth of new opportunities for its clients and company members,” said co-founder Kissow.
The integration will be completed on 1 July 2021. Financial details of the deal have not been released.
Across Europe, the deal is Deloitte’s second this month, following an acquisition of a life sciences consultancy in the Netherlands. Globally, the Syncronic transaction is the firm’s eighth this year.
