Christoph Lymbersky leads venture capital arm of M2P Consulting
International consulting firm M2P Consulting has appointed Christoph Lymbersky as a partner. Based in between Hamburg and Silicon Valley, Lymbersky, who formerly was managing director of the venture fund T-Venture, will be responsible for the firm’s venture and capital partners business unit.
Christoph Lymbersky brings many years of experience in founding, managing and successfully exiting start-up companies to M2P Consulting, a consultancy with offices in New York, London, Frankfurt, Dubai, Hong Kong and Silicon Valley. Throughout his career Lymbersky has been a serial entrepreneur who has founded companies such as an IT consulting & security firm, an internet provider and a new media publishing company as well as several others.
Before joining M2P Consulting, Lymbersky was managing director of Deutsche Telekom Strategic Investments, the venture capital fund of the German telecom giant Deutsche Telekom – in the role he oversaw a portfolio consisting of more than 70 companies and investments. At Deutsche Telekom, he also played a key role in establishing and building Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners, one of Europe’s biggest venture capital and private equity funds with nearly €2 billion under management.
At M2P Consulting, a consultancy with around 100 consultants across its six offices, Lymbersky has been named head of its Venture & Capital Partners unit. While management consulting remains M2P’s core offering, the firm moved into the investment and private equity a while back, in a bid to tap into the opportunities in the market and deepen its service portfolio to lcints, as part of its strategy to become a ‘trusted advisor’ to its clients.
The Venture & Capital Partners business unit of M2P offers services such as Venture Acceleration, Venture Partnering, Investment & Asset Management and Capital Fund Management. The arm also can act as an intermediary for clients, helping them with target search, valuation and deal strategy, as well as supporting the negotiations between start-ups and investors.
“With his thorough experience, his professional network and his passion for the start-up and venture scene, Christoph is a big asset to M2P,” commented David Ploog, founder and managing partner of the firm.
“At M2P's Venture & Capital Partners Unit we strive to find the best investment opportunities for our clients and manage their assets with care, excellence and precision - nothing less is acceptable,” said Lymbersky.
