Dutch management consultancy IG&H expands into Germany
Dutch management and digital consulting firm IG&H has expanded into Germany, the firm’s third locale in Europe.
Founded in the Netherlands over three decades ago, IG&H is a 300-strong award-winning consultancy that specialises in three main sectors – financial services, retail and healthcare. The firm supports its clients with a range of business transformation services, from strategy through to execution, and with digital transformation and technology delivery.
Having previously expanded into Portugal in 2019 following the acquisition of a local Portuguese player, the Utrecht-based group has now also made a foray into Germany, Europe’s largest mainland consulting market. While the office in Munich is a first in the country, the market is by no means greenfield terrain for the consultancy, explained founder and managing partner Jan van Hasenbroek.
“We’ve been serving clients in Germany for many years,” he said, “supporting clients such as DPD, Pon and ANWR.” By setting up a local base, “we will be better positioned to serve our clients and extend our reach into the German market.”
The consulting veteran added that stepping into Europe’s largest economy is “an important step for IG&H that is key to our growth strategy.”
The German team will initially focus on digital transformation consulting services, with a focus on in-demand offerings such as data analytics, low-code development and Agile ways of working. The hub will also focus on OutSystems implemtation work – IG&H was one of OutSystems’ partners of the year in 2020 and is teaming up with the software provider to capitalise on growing local demand.
The move comes around a year after French strategic consulting firm Emerton picked Munich as its base for the German-speaking market, and shortly after another Dutch consultancy, Anderson MacGyver, entered the German landscape.
IGH&’s new Munich office will open its doors in September, with recruitment underway to beef up the venture.
