Global professional services firm EY has named the Belgian Serge Colle as the new Global Leader of its Energy & Resources industry group.
In his new role, Colle will be responsible for leading a team of more than 30,000 industry professionals worldwide across the vertical’s key segments: mining & metals, oil & gas and power & utilities. He succeeds Gavin Rennie (based in Mexico), who has served as interim leader of the industry practice since July 2020, and will now revert his former role as Global Emerging Markets Leader for Energy & Resources.
Colle has been with EY in Brussels since 2015, when he joined the Big Four accounting and consulting giant from Accenture, where he had a 22-year career. Initially, Colle was the firm’s Global Energy Leader of the Advisory division, after which he was elevated to Global Leader of the Power & Utilities segment (a role he will continue to hold). EY’s
Drawing on close to 30 years of experience, Colle specialises in helping EY’s clients with the shift to renewable energy, business model disruption, performance improvement, customer experience, emerging technologies, and digital transformation.

Serge Colle earned a master’s degree in Applied Economics from Ghent University and an MBA in General Management from Vlerick Business School.
