Flensborg and Associates names Jan Binderup as managing partner
After spending fifteen years at Maersk in leadership roles, Jan Binderup has joined specialist consultancy Flensborg and Associates.
Based in Germany, Flensborg and Associates is a niche consultancy specialised in building new business in the international shipping and maritime transport industry. Founded nearly two decades ago, Flensborg and Associates has since inception helped generate new business in excess of €2 billion, as well as supported its clients with the execution of growth strategies, network and partner plans, and inorganic bolt-ons.
In his new role as Managing Partner of Flensborg and Associates, Binderup will lead all aspects of the organisation, including overseeing global key accounts, strategic partnerships and alliances, and internal operations including staffing and management of the firm’s network of independent associates.

During his 15-year tenure at Maersk, Danish national Binderup served in a number of financial leadership roles, latterly as CFO for APM Terminals in the Mediterranean area. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Big Four firm KPMG.
