Holger Lipowsky and Thomas Frost join Bain in Berlin office
Global strategy consulting firm Bain & Company has appointed two new partners in its German team.
Holger Lipowsky joined Bain & Company from Roland Berger, where he worked for twelve years, growing the ranks from consultant to partner. At the German-origin consultancy, he focused on the aerospace and defense industry. Prior to his consulting career, he spent seven years as an aircraft and engine engineer at Lufthansa Technik, Rolls-Royce, and MTU Aero Engines.
At Bain, Lipowsky is a partner in the Advanced Manufacturing and Services, Aerospace and Defense, and Public Sector practices. He is based in Berlin. He specialises in strategy, transformation, and performance improvement.
Also based in Berlin is Thomas Frost, who has been appointed an expert partner. He previously spent twelve years with another rival consultancy, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he was part of the Industrial Goods and Operations practice groups. Prior to BCG, he held roles on Procter & Gamble’s manufacturing and production systems teams and managed the group’s global autonomous maintenance function for various brands.
Frost brings more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing optimisation across a variety of industries to the Performance Improvement, Advanced Manufacturing and Services, and Consumer Goods practices of Bain & Company. He specialises in the design and implementation of production systems, as well as lean management, supply chain and factory optimisation, manufacturing networks, and maintenance systems.
Bain & Company has been active in Germany since 1982, when it opened its first office in Munich. Today, the consulting firm has four offices in the country: Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich. The German operation is led by around 80 partners, and overseen by country managing partner Walter Sinn.
