Amaury Bonnaire joins Alvarez & Marsal’s Geneva office
Alvarez & Marsal has expanded its Transaction Advisory practice in Switzerland with the hire of Amaury Bonnaire.
The global management and financial advisory consulting firm first launched an on the ground operation in Switzerland at the start 2020, when it opened a Zürich office. In the second quarter of last year, the consultancy also added an office in Geneva.
Amaury Bonnaire now joins the Geneva office as a Managing Director in the Transaction Advisory practice. He brings over two decades of (cross-border) M&A transaction experience to the role, having previously served Big Four firm EY (seventeen years) and Arthur Andersen (five years).
Most recently, he served as EY’s Strategy and Transactions leader for Western Switzerland, leading a team of due diligence, merger & acquisition, valuation, integration and separation professionals. During his career, he has led numerous transactions in Switzerland, Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America, and Africa, working with clients across multiple industries.
Bonnaire specialises in buy and sell-side due diligence, share and purchase agreement advice, carve-out accounts and post-deal support.
Sean Peyer, a Zurich-based Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Transaction Advisory Group, said that Bonnaire’s appointment will help the firm meet growing demand for M&A services. “The Swiss M&A market is rebounding from declines in 2020 following the pandemic,” he said.
“As deal making picks up regionally, alongside record level flows across Europe, Amaury’s combined local and global M&A expertise will help clients create value. His background dovetails with Alvarez & Marsal’s operational heritage and reflects our leadership, action, results credo.”
