Dutch supply chain consultancy Groenewout adds two colleagues

Dutch supply chain consultancy Groenewout has in recent months bolstered its team with Mark van der Boor en Willem de Koning.

Willem de Koning joined Groenewout in the summer, appointed a senior consultant. He joined the consulting firm from Vanderlande, a company specialised in material handling solutions, where he spent more than twelve years across several roles. 

In the role of System Engineer, De Koning was responsible for the conceptual and schematic design of material handling systems for a range of clients, including retailers, e-commerce players, logistics and parcel groups and airports. Clients he served include Amazon, DHL, Fedex, and multiple airports such as Hong Kong International Airport, Toronto Airport, and Singapore Changi.

Now at Groenewout, an award-winning consultancy in the supply chain and logistics domain, De Koning will mainly focusing on logistics feasibility studies and the design of mechanised warehouse operations such as e-commerce distribution centers. 

Mark van der Boor joined Groenewout as a consultant in September. He joined the firm fresh from university, and will focus on (logistics) modeling, operations research, data-driven supply chain, data analysis and programming/simulation. 

Both De Koning and Van der Boor completed their studies in Eindhoven. The prior holds a master’s degree in Systems Engineering from TU Eindhoven, while the latter has both a master’s degree and PhD degree from Eindhoven University of Technology.
