BearingPoint RegTech completes split and rebrands as Regnology
A year after splitting from its parent, BearingPoint RegTech has rebranded as Regnology.
The brand transition was announced yesterday, on the day BearingPoint RegTech completed its separation from BearingPoint, a global management and technology consulting firm. “The rebranding lays the foundation for a new chapter in our success story,” said Jürgen Lux, the CEO of Regnology.
Regnology’s heritage dates back to the turn of the century, when BearingPoint launched its first Regulatory-as-a-Service (RaaS) offering. Over the past two decades, the regulatory technology portfolio grew to a full-fledged business, offering clients in mainly the financial services sector with solutions for risk, tax, valuation, compliance and reporting.
In June this year, BearingPoint RegTech significantly bolstered its footprint with the acquisition of Vizor Software, adding complementary expertise to its portfolio (for example: supervisory technology for regulators) and lifting its client portfolio to over 7,000 institutions and companies around the world.
“We are very excited to be working with Vizor as Regnology towards our shared objective: Providing a global platform connecting regulators and the industry to create a strong, stable, transparent, and sustainable financial world,” said Lux.
“Our new name [a twist on the company's core business, regulatory technology] represents both the past and the future. Our history spans more than 20 years, and we are now a leading international provider of regulatory, risk and supervisory technology solutions, and tax and regulatory reporting services. We are proud of the new brand and very much look forward to transforming the industry,” concluded Lux.
