Rolf Fricker and Tobias Handschuh join Oliver Wyman as partner
Oliver Wyman has added two new partners to its team in Germany: Rolf Fricker and Tobias Handschuh.
Both new partners join from EY-Parthenon, were they were a partner, and operate in Oliver Wyman’s Healthcare & Life Sciences practice.
Rolf Fricker has more than three decades of experience in the healthcare and life sciences sector. After starting his career in pharma, serving among others Ratiopharm and Merck, he moved into consulting in 2004, joining Booz & Company. Fricker spent thirteen years with Booz & Company (and later Strategy&), before crossing to EY-Parthenon in 2018.
Most recently at EY-Parthenon, Fricker led the firm’s Health Sciences & Wellness practice across the Europe, Middle East, India and Africa region.
Tobias Handschuh has over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and life sciences sector, focusing on corporate strategy, commercial strategy, commercial model innovation, digital transformation and marketing excellence. Prior to joining EY-Parthenon in 2017, he also served Booz & Company and Strategy&, Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte), Frost & Sullivan and a boutique consultancy.
Commenting on the additions, Kai Bender, Head of Oliver Wyman in Germany and Austria, said: “Rolf and Tobias are highly experienced consultants who bring an impressive strategy consulting track record and network in the life sciences industry to the firm. We are delighted to welcome them.”
Globally, Oliver Wyman is investing heavily in its life science capabilities. In October, the firm acquired the life sciences strategy business of Huron Consulting Group to accelerate its growth ambition.
Meanwhile, in Germany, Oliver Wyman recently hired five partners (and a number of their team members) from rival Strategy&.
