The Technology division meanwhile solves data-related business challenges, with particular focus on legal and regulatory matters. With more than 28 years of experience at Deloitte, Payeur brings extensive expertise in forensic, investigation, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, financial crime advisory and technology services to the firm. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he was Deloitte’s Europe, Middle East and Africa leader of the Forensic practice.
Payeur qualified as an accountant and began his career as an auditor in Canada (he relocated to France in 2011) before specialising in forensics and compliance services.
“Karl is a leading figure in forensic and technology consulting, and his arrival at our practice in France enables FTI Consulting to offer an extended suite of services to clients. His experience and reputation, combined with FTI Consulting’s expertise and network, means that we can now better serve the needs of our clients in this growing market,” said Kevin Hewitt, Chairman of the EMEA region at FTI Consulting.
Karen Briggs, Head of the EMEA Forensic & Litigation Consulting and Technology divisions at FTI Consulting, added: “We are delighted to welcome Karl. he has the expertise to provide our clients with the most robust support on highly complex and challenging issues related to the investigation and prevention of fraud, financial crime and corruption, and how to leverage technology in a constantly changing regulatory environment.”
Also based in Paris, Cyril Naudin is a member of FTI Consulting’s Forensic & Litigation division. He leads and conducts regulatory and internal investigations in France and abroad, mainly dealing with allegations of fraud, bribery and corruption. Investigations mainly include electronic data review (devices imaging, document review and production, chain of custody management, data inventory and destruction exercise).
Naudin also assists companies and public sector organisations in the assessment or the implementation of their compliance program, mainly in the context of corruption and fraud risk assessment. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Naudin spent twenty-two years at Deloitte, the past five years as a partner.
