EPSA enters Dutch market with bolt-on of Procurement Services
International professional services firm EPSA has entered the Dutch market with the acquisition of Procurement Services, a 20-strong consultancy specialised in indirect procurement optimisation.
Commenting on the acquisition, Matthieu Gufflet, the President of EPSA said: “The Netherlands is a key market for us and we are excited to fill a missing piece of our puzzle by now adding Procurement Services to our European footprint.”
Founded in 2005, Procurement Services helps organisations in the public and private sector with optimising their procurement function. The firm is dedicated to the indirect procurement segment – focusing on verticals such as logistics, marketing, staff services, IT and facilities.
The Dutch consulting firm supports its clients with consulting (for example: identifying improvement potential), implementation execution (supporting tenders and the delivery of improvement projects), and continuous improvement (maintenance of contract and supplier management).
The deal will see Procurement Services integrated into the Procurement business of EPSA, which has around 700 professionals. “With the addition of Procurement Services, we are clearly the European leader in procurement consulting,” claimed Gufflet.
“We have been impressed by the quality of the Procurement Services team and its management, its culture of entrepreneurship as well as the reputation of the company in its market,” he added.
Across its seven lines of business – Procurement, Marketplace, Tax, Innovation, Transformation & Digital, Energy & Environment and Finance – France-headquartered EPSA has 1,500 employees in 35 countries, spread across 25 offices on 6 continents.
Meanwhile, for Procurement Services the joining of forces is, according to co-founders Martijn Heijmans and André Seltenrijch, the “next and logical step in our existence. It provides us a wonderful opportunity to further expand our services. EPSA’s impressive network and the complementary services also offers our clients interesting new offerings.”
Last year EPSA beefed up its Procurement division with the acquisitions of Kloepfel Group (Germany) en Kronos Group (Belgium).
