Two consultancies in the corporate performance management (CPM) landscape – Satriun and Inplenion – are joining forces in a ‘merger of equals’ to create a group of 200 consultants in 15+ countries.

Founded in 2011, Satriun is a Netherlands-headquartered firm that specialises in finance transformation and the implementations of CPM software solutions. The firm is a certified partner of several major software providers in the market, including Anaplan, Board, CXO Software, OneStream, Oracle, SAP and Wolters Kluwer CCH Tagetik.

Inplenion meanwhile is a Switzerland-headquartered group of similar size (100 consultants) and with a similar profile – the consultancy partners with the likes of Board, CXO Software, K-Shuttle, Jedox, OneStream, Oracle and Trinity.

Having already worked together for several years, on international projects and in some countries even through a more advanced cooperation (in France for example they operate a joint venture), Satriun and Inplenion are now taking their partnership to the next level. Financial terms and conditions of the merger have not been disclosed (the new group is a privately-held company).

“We’ve over the years seen the complementarity of our offering and similarity of our culture,” said Alexandre Constantinescu, CEO of Satriun. “Forming a coherent group feels very natural and will undoubtedly provide increased value and opportunities to our clients, partners and colleagues.”

One of the synergies Constantinescu refers to lies in the enlarged size and geographic coverage of the combined group. Following closing (expected in August 2022), the two firms will operate in The Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Greece, Poland, Romania, United Kingdom, Israel, Morocco, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and India.

In addition, Satriun and Inplenion will be able to exchange expertise in order to create a more “focused positioning in the market,” said Constantinescu. This element of the deal will see Satriun transfer its OneStream and Oracle offerings to Inplenion, which will enable the firm to focus more on its SAP and Wolters Kluwer CCH Tagetik propositions.

Inplenion meanwhile will take the lead for OneStream consulting and implementation services. “Through this swap, both brands believe they will be “better able to provide a clear and focused proposition to the CPM market,” said Constantinescu.

Casper van Leeuwen, the CEO of Satriun in the Netherlands, said: “We believe that Satriun’s existing OneStream and Oracle customers will find a great new home at Inplenion. Building on our complementarity in terms of geography, skills and technology focus, I can’t wait for our clients to experience the increased value of our combined team.”

Jann Tadorian, the CEO of Inplenion, added: “We are thrilled to enlarge our footprint in the OneStream and Oracle CPM space and are very excited about the fantastic opportunities for all colleagues in the group to grow and serve our customers even better.”
