Vasco Consult appoints Inês Cunha to lead data centre in Portugal
Vasco Consult has appointed Inês Pimentel Cunha as the inaugural General Manager of its Data Competence Centre in Portugal.
The appointment comes shortly after the Dutch-origin consultancy launched its Data Competence Centre in Faro and Lisbon with the aim of building an offshore consulting and managed services division specialised in data science and digital capabilities.
“Our new team in Portugal will help us support our customers in their digital-first and data driven ambitions,” said Ruben Uppelschoten, the founder of Vasco Consult.
In her role, Inês has been tasked with setting up and leading the growth of the operation, advancing the initial offerings (focused on revenue assurance, business intelligence and data migrations), and expanding the team through the hiring of new members.
Meanwhile, Inês will also lead the firm’s growth in the Portuguese market, with the aim of onboarding several local clients to its current portfolio of Dutch clients.
“We launched our Data Competence Centre in February and are already seeing the first promising results. I’m delighted that Inês has joined our team. She is a real leader who will help us build a strong team and introduce Vasco Consulting to Portuguese customers.”
Prior to joining the 30-strong consultancy, Inês was a business unit manager at two Portuguese consultancies in Porto. She kicked off her career seven years ago at SGS – a global testing, inspection and certification company.
“I am delighted to be joining Vasco Consult. The firm has provided me a warm welcome, both in Portugal and the Netherlands, and I look forward to contributing to its further growth.”
