FTI welcomes ex-McKinsey partner Thierry Miremont to Paris team
FTI Consulting has expanded its senior team in France with former McKinsey partner Thierry Miremont.
Appointed a Senior Managing Director, Thierry Miremont brings over three decades of experience to the consulting firm. He is a leader in the Business Transformation, Restructuring and Transactions practices.
During his two decades with Arthur Andersen and McKinsey & Company, Miremont has worked on a wide range of strategic, organisational and operational projects for medium to large corporate and private equity firms in the US, EMEA and Asia, across multiple industries, including consumer goods, industrial and financial services.
Most recently at McKinsey & Company (1992 to 2002), Miremont co-led the Global Airline and Energy practices.
Miremont then spent five years for Quiksilver, in the roles of Chief Operating Officer for Europe and Global Senior Vice President of Business Development. Over the past fifteen years, he led his own management firm where he acted as interim CEO for companies requiring accelerated development, transformation or turnaround.
This saw Miremont serve as CEO of a regional business unit at Swissport International (focused on restructuring operations in several countries) and as Président at TNT Express where he was tasked with driving a large turnaround and transformation program in France, among others.
“Thierry’s extensive experience across a number of consulting and industry roles, and his deep relationships with corporates, lenders, financial sponsors and law firms within France and the wider EMEA market, will further strengthen our presence, team and right to win in France,” said Kevin Hewitt, outgoing Chairman of the EMEA region at FTI Consulting.
Diederick van der Plas, a Senior Managing Director and the EMEA Head of Corporate Finance & Restructuring at FTI Consulting, added, “We are seeing a continued increase in demand from clients for business transformation, operational restructuring and performance improvement advice, particularly following the numerous challenges we have faced in recent years. I am pleased to welcome Thierry to further build our services in these areas.”
In France, FTI Consulting services its clients with its full suite of services. Globally, the firm has 6,900+ employees located in 30 countries – combined they generate approximately $2.78 billion in revenues.
