PwC has signed two acquisitions in the German market, adding eilersconsulting and ID-Consult in Germany to its advisory division.

“These two acquisitions deepen our offerings and support our strategic approach of accompanying clients from strategy to implementation,” said Joachim Englert, Head of Advisory at PwC in Germany.

The double deal adds around 55 staff to PwC’s Supply Chain and Operations services lines, and comes within a year of the acquisition of procurement specialist Drozak Consulting.

Founded in 2009, Düsseldorf based eilersconsulting (30 professionals) is a SAP Silver Partner dedicated to the supply chain domain. The firm helps clients with building and implementing their solutions for among others supply chain, logistics, and warehousing.

Commenting on the deal, Olaf Eilers and Anja Eilers, owners and managing directors of eilersconsulting, said: “We are delighted to be part of PwC and are firmly convinced that our implementation skills perfectly complement the firm’s strategic consulting expertise.”

For PwC’s SAP unit within the supply chain division, the deal complements its acquisition of Olivehorse in the United Kingdom earlier this year. A SAP Gold Partner with supply chain management, Olivehorse added 60 members to its UK practice.

Meanwhile, the acquisition of the slightly smaller ID-Consult (25 staff) and its METUS software adds a specialist in product development and architecture to its ranks. Established in 1998, ID-Consult helps clients design products that not only meet customer requirements, but also meet requirements for optimised supply chains, costs, sustainability, and other factors of consideration.

“We support companies in the design and development of successful products,” explained Jan Göpfert, CEO and owner of ID-Consult. “We are pleased to have found a strong partner in PwC with whom we can now advise customers along the entire value chain, from the market side to product development, production and the supply chain.”

Stefan Schrauf, Partner and Global Supply Chain and EMEA Operations Lead at PwC, said: “The experts from eilersconsulting and ID-Consult expand our expertise in supply chain, product development and process management. We look forward to welcome their teams.”

May is unfolding as a busy month for dealmakers in Europe’s consulting industry. Earlier this month, Grant Thornton closed a double deal in the Netherlands, McKinsey bought a Salesforce partner in Spain, and Accenture closed its third sustainability focused deal in weeks.
