BrazilVolker Nürnberg joins BearingPoint healthcare practice as a partner
European consultancy BearingPoint has bolstered its Healthcare practice in Germany with Volker Nürnberg.
Volker Nürnberg brings over two decades of experience in the healthcare sector to the international management and technology consultancy, gained both in industry and in consulting.
Most recently, Nürnberg was a partner at BDO and before that, he led the Healthcare practice of Mercer in Germany. Earlier, he held leadership roles over a decade at two health insurance companies. In a part-time capacity, Nürnberg is a professor and teaches health management at two German universities.
“We are very pleased that we have been able to win Volker to join our team. He is a great addition to BearingPoint and will be a driving force in the expansion of our healthcare transformation team,” said Iris Grewe, Head of the Germany, Switzerland, Austria region at BearingPoint.
Nürnberg specialises in helping hospitals and health insurance companies with topics such as healthcare delivery, performance improvement, human capital, intersectoral cooperation, and digital transformation. He also helps start-ups and digital providers of innovative solutions with entering the health market and scaling up.
The field of human resources is one of his key areas of expertise, and last year his track record in the space saw him recognised by German magazine Haufe as one of the country’s 40 leading leaders in human resources.
