Hong-May Cheng new leader of Simon-Kucher’s Amsterdam office
Global strategy consultancy firm Simon-Kucher has named Hong-May Cheng the new managing partner for its office in Amsterdam.
Since its inception in 2009, Simon-Kucher’s Amsterdam office has grown into an award-winning 75-strong team, under the leadership of office founder Onno Oldeman with Hong-May Cheng at his side.
Following fourteen years at the helm, Oldeman has now passed on the day-to-day leadership role of the Dutch practice to Cheng.
Cheng brings 25 years of experience to the top seat, gained entirely in the consulting industry and dedicated to strategic marketing and commercial excellence. He specialises in developing new business & portfolio concepts, value-based pricing strategies and value selling, with a focus on clients in the software, internet, media as well as technology and industrial sectors.
Based out of Amsterdam, Cheng advises and supports Simon-Kucher clients across Europe. He also is a regular speaker at seminars and in-company sessions and contributed to several studies and reports in top-tier publications.
Oldeman will remain a member of Simon-Kucher’s Executive Committee with responsibility for the region of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and South Africa.
This appointment comes hot on the heels of Simon-Kucher’s global rebranding, which according to the firm marks the “next chapter” in its growth story. From its academic origins and focus on pricing 37 years ago, Simon-Kucher has evolved into one of the world’s leading growth consultancies with 2.000 professionals in 30+ countries, focused on tackling every part of a company's commercial strategy.
“I am delighted to take on this new role. Together with our growing partner team, I am committed to further expand our position as leading growth experts in the Netherlands” said Cheng on his appointment.
