Groenewout adds trio of new consultants to logistics team

Dutch supply chain and logistics consultancy Groenewout has strengthened its team with three new consultants.

Appointed a senior consultant, Joep Geurts primarily focuses on logistics feasibility studies and the design, tendering and implementation of mechanized logistics concepts.

Geurts started his career at Vanderlande. During his nine years at the company, he was responsible for among others the design, feasibility and sales of the company’s material handling solutions. More recently at, Geurts held the role of Lead Outbound Process Design with responsibility for the design and setup of logistics processes and systems.

Willem-Jan Eil and Rogier Verhaar have meanwhile both joined Groenewout as a consultant.

Eil is specialized in modeling, operations research and logistics optimizations. At Groenewout, he focuses primarily on projects related to inventory management, warehouse design and logistics optimization.

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Eil then obtained a master’s degree in Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics – also at TU Delft. During his graduation assignment, he conducted research into how certain order characteristics influence the KPIs for various configurations of a logistics service provider’s e-fulfillment warehouse.

Verhaar is specialized in implementing and optimizing logistics processes. At Groenewout, he focuses on logistics optimization and feasibility studies, warehouse design, inventory management and distribution network studies.

Prior to joining the consultancy, he worked at LOGISTORE as a logistics consultant, providing counsel on logistics feasibility studies and associated projects. Before that, he worked as a Logistics Engineer at Ingram Micro where he gained experience in initiating, realizing and managing optimization and design/redesign projects.
