Altman Solon appoints partner and directors in European offices
Altman Solon, an international strategy consultancy in the TMT sector, has made three partner and director appointments across its offices in Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Promoted to partner is Riccardo Consani, who is based in the Milan office. He brings over 15 years of experience in the media and telecom sectors to the partnership, with a focus on the fixed and mobile infrastructures, broadcasters, and television segments.
Consani’s areas of expertise are strategy projects for corporate clients (strategic planning, go-to-market strategy, digital transformation) and mergers & acquisitions for corporate and investor clients, having participated in numerous significant infrastructure deals in Italy.
Prior to joining Altman Solon, Consani worked for BIP across two spells, Boston Consulting Group, and Bain & Company.
“Since joining the firm in 2022, Riccardo has consistently delivered excellent solutions to our telecommunications and media clients,” said Patrick Bellenbaum, managing partner at Altman Solon. “We appreciate all of his contributions so far and know he will be a big part of the firm’s growth and success in the future.”
Promoted to director are Christoph Sommer (Zurich) and Noel Perera (London).
Sommer has been with Altman Solon since 2016, focusing on strategy, growth, business planning, product development, go-to-market, (re-)organisation and operating model design, as well as due diligence and value creation. He works with clients in media, digital, sports, software, and IT services, as well as investors targeting these areas.
Bellenbaum: “Christoph’s expertise in media and technology has helped Altman Solon service and add clients in key areas of growth, and he has taken on a key role in establishing our Zurich office.”
Before joining Altman Solon, Sommer was a researcher in media management at the University of Zurich, and worked in advertising, broadcasting, and publishing.
Noel Perera has similarly been with the consultancy since 2016, working at the intersection of strategy consulting and analytics.
“Since joining the firm in our London office, Noel has built up an impressive track record in delivering quantitative and actionable insights for our private equity and corporate clients on all aspects of digital infrastructure, including towers, data centres, and fibre,” said Bellenbaum.
Prior to his time at Altman Solon, Perera worked at Aetha Consulting focussing on spectrum valuation for mobile operators.
Later this year, Perera will relocate to the Singapore office to further support Altman Solon’s growth in the Asia pacific region. Perera had previously joined the Singapore office to support its launch in 2021 before returning to London last year.
Established in 2020 by the merger between US-based Altman Vilandrie & Company and Europe-based Solon Management Consulting, Altman Solon currently has a team of around 400 staff across 14 offices worldwide.
