Stéphane Assemat joins Swiss partner team of Sionic
Sionic has expanded its Swiss leadership team with Stéphane Assemat, who will focus on expanding the firm’s private banking and wealth management offerings across Switzerland and Luxembourg.
Based in Geneva, Stéphane Assemat has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, principally within fund administration, life insurance, and private banking. He specialises in topics including back-office operations, performance management, payments, business transformation, and change management.
“Joining Sionic was a natural choice for me. To be part of a team with such an impressive reputation and credentials makes me proud,” said Assemat on his move.
Assemat joined Sionic from HSBC, where he spent twelve years in its private banking division and held a number of senior roles including Head of Operations, Global Head of Treasury & Banking, Global Payment Product Owner and Payment Transparency Lead.
“We are delighted that Stéphane has joined Sionic. Not only is he a specialist in private banking; he is also a recognised leader in subjects where we see the greatest growth potential,” said Philip Biber, a Managing Partner and Head of Sionic in Switzerland.
Among the topics Sionic foresees strong growth are risk, financial crime, regulation, technology change, and operating model transformation. “I’m looking forward to bring our full range of expertise to new and existing clients,” said Assemat.
Sionic is a consulting firm dedicated to the financial services sector. The firm has 450+ staff based across North America, Europe and Asia, and is part of London-headquartered Davies.
