Ebner Stolz scoops Hamburg-based restructuring team from PwC

Ebner Stolz has bolstered its restructuring team in Germany with the team hire of six professionals from Big Four firm PwC.

Led by Christoph Konow, who has been appointed a partner at Ebner Stolz, the six-strong team further consists of Christian Heilmann (principal), Frederik Blümm (senior manager), Pavel Rakhovskiy, Andreas Hackner, and Friedrich Schinzing (all managers).

All six are based out of Ebner Stolz’s Hamburg office – one of the 14 offices of the professional services firm across Germany. Ebner Stolz has over 2,100 people and booked revenues of €343 million in its latest financial year.

Commenting on the mini deal, Klaus Krink, a partner at Ebner Stolz, said: “We are delighted to be able to further expand our presence in the restructuring landscape.”

The Restructuring practice of Ebner Stolz is part of the firm’s advisory division, which operates under the banner of Ebner Stolz Management Consultants. The division also offers services in areas such as corporate strategy, organisation, mergers & acquisitions, and digital transformation, among others.

Marcus Losch, a partner in the Restructuring practice, said: “The new additions to our interdisciplinary team also strengthen our market position in technology-driven sectors and in insolvency-related advice.”

Nationally, the Restructuring practice now has over 80 consultants, focused on engagements in the mid-market sector.

On 1 October 2023, Ebner Stolz will merge into the RSM network, creating a powerhouse in the German market.
