Amsterdam Data Collective appoints Steven Kroonsberg and Frederik Mees ten Oever

Amsterdam Data Collective has bolstered its leadership team with two new members: Steven Kroonsberg and Frederik Mees ten Oever.

Founded six years ago, Amsterdam Data Collective has since its inception grown into an international data science consultancy with offices in the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden. The firm’s 100+ strong team helps clients in financial services, healthcare, and the public sector with applying data science to unlock insights and enhance decision-making.

As part of the firm’s (investor-backed) growth ambition, Amsterdam Data Collective is expanding its leadership team, with Steven Kroonsberg and Frederik Mees ten Oever the latest joiners – both operate out of Amsterdam, where the namesake consultancy is headquartered.

Appointed Chief Financial Officer, Steven brings extensive experience in both finance and management consulting to the firm. Following close to a decade at strategy giant Boston Consulting Group, Steven moved into industry, first serving FrieslandCampina focusing on finance, strategy and pricing.

Most recently, Steven served as Chief Financial Officer at payrolling company WePayPeople, and Hiber, a scale-up company that develops internet of things solutions for the energy industry.

Commenting on his move to Amsterdam Data Collective, Steven said: “I enjoy working with young, energetic, and passionate people, and I look forward to helping Amsterdam Data Collective by further building strong foundations for its continued development and international growth.”

In the role of Client Engagement Director, Frederik Mees ten Oever will focus on expanding Amsterdam Data Collective’s footprint in the financial services sector. Frederik brings over a decade of experience to the role, specialising in recruitment and talent solutions.

At Oliver James Associates, a UK-headquartered recruitment firm, Frederik spent eight years, climbing the ranks to director level. Most recently, he worked at Panda International, where he focused on human capital solutions in the life sciences sector. “Following over eight years of working in the financial services sector, I am happy to be back and keen to work together with the team at Amsterdam Data Collective.”
