The world’s largest conference for FME experts is coming to Europe, with the global event taking place early September in Germany. Spatial consultancy Tensing is one of the event’s top knowledge partners.

Held from September 5-7 in Bonn, the 2023 edition of Safe Software’s flagship event will bring together industry leaders, data professionals, and technology enthusiasts to discuss the latest trends and developments in the world of spatial analysis and geographic information systems (GIS).

FME is a leading data integration and visualisation solution in this domain, used by over 20,000 organisations in 60+ countries. FME enables companies to integrate all their spatial data into one platform in order to make more informed decisions with confidence.

In line with advances in technology and advanced analytics, the use of spatial data has risen sharply over the years. Use cases span across sectors. Municipalities use spatial data to deliver built environment expansion, transport companies to keep track and monitor their assets, manufacturers for streamlining their maintenance & support, and utility companies for optimisation of their asset management.

“The Peak of Data Integration 2023 event provides a unique platform for our vibrant community to come together, exchange ideas, and explore innovative ways to leverage FME’s capabilities in solving real-world data challenges,” said Dale Lutz, co-founder of Safe Software.

The three-day event has Deutsche Telekom and Trimble as its headline sponsors (Platinum), with Tensing its exclusive consulting partner (Gold). Peter van Es, CEO of Tensing: “We are delighted to be Gold sponsor of what is set to be FME’s largest user event ever. We look forward to share our expertise with the community and inform them on best practices and opportunities.”

A long-time implementation partner of FME, Tensing currently is a Gold partner of FME and a Gold partner of Esri. “We believe the combination of these powerful platforms helps organisations get the most out of their GIS-data.”

Keynote speakers of the event include Mark Pollock (a motivational speaker) and Ken Bragg (a long-time FME user). Bragg will share how FME has been instrumental in supporting the humanitarian efforts of Doctors Without Borders. Breakout sessions and workshops will cover topics including GIS strategy, data governance, cloud integration, spatial data processing, and more.
