Global accounting and advisory network Baker Tilly has welcomed two new partners in its German organisation.
Based in Nuremberg, Joachim Schroff has been hired as a partner in the firm’s Audit & Advisory division. He joins Baker Tilly from Big Four firm KPMG, where he spent over 17 years.
Schroff specialises in audit and the delivery of annual and consolidated financial statements, and has gained extensive experience in the sports, mechanical engineering, automotive, retail, software, and telecom sectors. His clients include listed companies and internationally active family businesses.
“Through his comprehensive expertise in capital market-oriented companies and international financial reporting standards, he will further strengthen our Capital Markets practice and services to internationally active companies,” said Thomas Edenhofer, Managing Partner of the Audit & Advisory division at Baker Tilly.
Also appointed a partner on July 1st is Odile Benecke, who is based in Baker Tilly’s Hamburg office. She has been with the firm for the past two years, and previously served KPMG, Sinner Schrader, and PKF.
Benecke specialises in helping clients implement and comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In addition, she supports organisations with optimising and digitising their accounting-related processes.
Edenhofer: “IFRS is becoming increasingly important both nationally and internationally. With Odile in our partner team, we are expanding our leadership with an outstanding colleague who has already contributed significantly over the past two years to further strengthening our expertise in the area of IFRS services.”
