Kloepfel Consulting transitions leadership in home market Germany
German supply chain and procurement specialist Kloepfel Consulting has installed a new leadership team for its German operation.
Previously led by co-founders Marc Kloepfel and Efe Duran Sarikaya, the day to day leadership for Kloepfel Consulting in its home market will now be taken over by the duo of Alexander Hornikel and Thanh Duy Tran. Both have been with the company for over a decade.
With the leadership transition, Kloepfel and Sarikaya will focus more on the international growth of Kloepfel Consulting and on intensifying the collaboration with parent EPSA.
“We have reached a size in Germany that required a reshuffle of our top management,” said Kloepfel. “Alexander and Duy have been with us since the early days and we are convinced that under their leadership the firm will continue its growth in the German market.”
Hornikel, a senior partner at the firm, has been with Kloepfel Consulting since 2013. He will take responsibility for the firm’s corporate strategy in Germany, sales and marketing efforts, and lead the interim management and staffing business units.
Fellow senior partner Tran is responsible for the consulting business, and will serve as the linking pin with EPSA. He has been with the consulting firm since its inception in 2007. His track record spans managing over 90 purchasing projects with a procurement volume of €3.5 billion.
Outside of Germany, Kloepfel Consulting has offices in Austria and Switzerland. France-headquartered EPSA has over 2,000 staff in 30+ countries.
Earlier this year, EPSA beefed up its presence in the Dutch market with the acquisition of AB&C Groep, a company active in management consulting and procurement services (500 staff).
