Competition Economists Group launches new office in Barcelona

Competition Economists Group has launched a new office in Barcelona, marking its entry into the Spanish market and lifting its office footprint to eight worldwide.

Founded in 2007, Competition Economists Group is an award-winning economics consultancy firm with offices in Brussels (headquarters), Berlin, Düsseldorf, The Hague, London, and Zürich. The latest hub in Barcelona becomes the firm’s 7th in Europe, with Sydney its sole office outside of the continent.

Leading the new hub is Laura Robles Jimenez, who has extensive expertise in competition economics. She has been with Competition Economists Group for just over a year, having previously served ABC Economics and NERA Economic Consulting (a subsidiary of Oliver Wyman).

Jimenez specialises in economic modelling, quantitative analysis, and microeconomics in the context of competition and regulatory matters. Her experience covers a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, agricultural products, fast moving consumer goods, consumer goods, and payments.

Last year, Competition Economists Group launched its office in Berlin, and in 2021, the Zurich hub was inaugurated.
