EFESO Management Consultants enters next growth phase with new investor

The ambition comes on the back of already strong growth. Over the past five years, EFESO Management Consultants has more than tripled its size, expanding its turnover to beyond the €200 million mark.

Part of the growth journey was fuelled by an M&A campaign, with five deals closed since investor Eurazeo came on board as a majority shareholder in 2019.

“During the last years we have been able to significantly increase the breadth and depth of our capabilities to better serve our customers,” said Luca Lecchi, co-CEO of EFESO Management Consultants. Bruno Machiels, fellow co-CEO, added: “Our performance shows that clients increasingly value the tangible results we help realise, exploiting our deep expertise.”

To fund its further growth, EFESO Management Consultants has brought in TowerBrook Capital Partners as a reference shareholder. Eurazeo has meanwhile agreed to invest a further €115 million in equity and over €290 million together with TowerBrook and shareholders of the consulting firm.

In a bid to commit key talent beneath partner level, EFESO Management Consultants is working on plans to open the capital pool to over 100 principals and managers.

“We welcome TowerBrook and Eurazeo as strong partners to continue our growth journey,” said Machiels.

Pierre Meignen, Managing Director at Eurazeo said: “We are proud of the strong partnership we have created with EFESO Management Consultants over the last four years, and we are thrilled to renew this collaboration while welcoming TowerBrook onboard. We see significant opportunities for the group in the coming years, in Europe, the United States and Asia Pacific.”
