AlixPartners welcomes Fabian Engels to German partner team
Global consulting firm AlixPartners has bolstered its senior team in Germany with Fabian Engels.
Joining AlixPartners following a six-month sabbatical, Fabian Engels has been named a partner & managing director, and a member of the leadership team of the firm’s Performance Improvement practice.
Engels, who is based in Berlin, has extensive international experience in the areas of performance improvement, transformation, mergers & acquisitions and post-merger integration. He has advised multinational corporates, financial investors and start-ups across industries, with a focus on the transportation, logistics, and retail sectors.
Engels gained nearly all his experience at Roland Berger, where he spent more than seventeen years, most recently as senior partner and head of its Performance Improvement practice. He also served as managing partner of its offices in Berlin and Qatar. Before his time with Roland Berger, Engels worked at Deutsche Bank, among others.
“Fabian’s expertise in transformation and implementation, and his leadership qualities make him an excellent addition to our Performance Improvement practice. He will play a key role in our growth ambition thanks to his extensive industry knowledge and proven account development track record – we are delighted to welcome him,” said Andreas Rüter, Head of Germany at AlixPartners.

Alongside his role at AlixPartners, Engels is an angel investor supporting start-ups on their growth path, including a former Board role for Sennder, the German transportation unicorn.
