A specialist in the energy and utilities sector, Thibaut has led and worked on engagements across the landscape, with a focus on nuclear power, green gases (hydrogen), renewables and circular transition. He is a core member of the Energy & Circular Transition platform.

In the nuclear sector, where Corporate Value Associates operates at the forefront of France’s national strategy, Thibaut has worked for 10 years on the full value chain of current and next generation reactors (from uranium mining to spent fuel management and reactors dismantling) and most of the key players in the field.

Commenting on the appointment, Paul-Andre Rabate, Founder and Managing Partner of Corporate Value Associates, said: “Thibaut was a pillar to the creation of our green and low-carbon Hydrogen Taskforce years ago and a strong developer of our historical nuclear expertise in France and abroad. We congratulate Thibaut on this professional milestone and wish him every success in the new role.”

In addition to his sectoral expertise, Thibaut is also responsible for advancing the use of AI tools within Corporate Value Associates methodologies and approach. “The goal is to empower our consultants and clients with cutting-edge technologies and insights that enable them to make informed and impactful decisions.”

“We deeply believe that AI will soon redefine the way we work and structure tasks between people and machines, in a form of new hybrid collective intelligence.”

Emerging technologies such as generative AI can make consultants more productive in their work, but also enrich the way strategy consulting can address client matters.

Earlier in his career, Thibaut gained experience in the mining and transport industries, spending a considerable amount of his time on projects in Saudi Arabia and Canada.

Thibaut Lacour is a graduate from ESSEC Business School Paris (Master in Management and MBA) and holds an Executive degree from MIT Sloan School of Management in AI implications for Business Strategy.
