FTI Consulting launches office in Stockholm, 3rd in Nordics
FTI Consulting has launched a new office in Sweden, its third in the Nordics.
The fresh hub in Stockholm complements FTI Consulting’s existing offices in Denmark (Copenhagen) and Finland (Helsinki) and will accelerate the firm’s further expansion plans in the country and region.
“FTI Consulting has been active in Sweden for more than a decade, advising on a range of situations,” said Lars Faeste, EMEA Chairman at FTI Consulting. Having served clients on the ground through fly-in teams from other offices, the new office will now enable the firm to build a dedicated local team.
“Sweden is a vibrant market for financial services, arbitration and innovation in the Nordics, and we are seeing growing demand for our services across the business cycle,” said Faeste.
Navin Waghe, a Senior Managing Director in the Economic and Financial Consulting practice at FTI Consulting added, “Sweden and the Nordics represent a region of incredible talent and entrepreneurship. I am excited that we are committed to investing in the region, local talent, our existing relationships, and the new ones that we hope to foster across our service lines.”
The initial focus of the Swedish team will be on topics including disputes and investigations, valuations, infrastructure and construction project related matters, and restructuring. Over time, the firm will aim to expand its capabilities to mirror the global portfolio of services.
Headquartered in the US, FTI Consulting has close to 8,000 staff worldwide. The firm advises clients around management consulting, financial advisory, strategic communications, mergers & acquisitions, and more.
The Stockholm office is the latest in a series of investments that FTI Consulting has made across Europe, following the recent opening of new offices in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Italy.
