Sopra Steria Next buys boutique innovation consultancy InProcess

European IT services company Sopra Steria has beefed up its consulting business in home market France with the acquisition of InProcess.

The deal sees a team of around 18 staff cross to Sopra Steria Next, the management and digital consulting arm of Sopra Steria. Launched in 2019 as a standalone business, Sopra Steria Next today has around 4,000 consultants in 30 offices across Europe.

Paris-based InProcess is an innovation consultancy specialised in the ideation of new business models, strategic design, new product development, UX/UI improvements, and the delivery of digital solutions.

We are thrilled to welcome InProcess, a prominent strategic design team in France,” said Fabrice Asvazadourian, CEO of Sopra Steria Next.

The deal builds on previous acquisitions in the innovation consultancy space, including CX Partners in the United Kingdom (2020) and EGGS in Scandinavia (2021).

Meanwhile, for InProcess, the integration into Sopra Steria Next will enable the firm to make more impact for its client, as well as offer its staff with expanded opportunities for growth and international engagements. “We are delighted to be merging InProcess into Sopra Steria Next. With 56,000 employees in nearly 30 countries, Sopra Steria is one of Europe’s largest IT services companies. In 2023, the group generated revenues of €5.8 billion.
