BearingPoint elects Stefan Penthin as global management partner
BearingPoint has appointed the German Stefan Penthin as its next global management partner.
Stefan Penthin will assume his new role on September 1, 2024, succeeding Kiumars Hamidian, who led the global management and technology consultancy since 2018 and did not stand for re-election after two terms in office.
Penthin has been with BearingPoint for 23 years. He became a partner in 2012, and is currently global leader for the firm’s market segments, global head of the Automotive & Industrial Manufacturing practice, and a member of the Global Management Committee.
In his client-facing work, Penthin focuses on business consulting services, with specialisation in supply chain management, operational excellence, production, and logistics optimization. He has led numerous large global consulting projects and business transformation programs with a focus on clients in the automotive and manufacturing industries.
“I am honored to be entrusted as the next global management partner of BearingPoint and am fully committed to the long-term success of our clients and the partnership. We have extraordinary people and a strong portfolio driven by the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. We will go further with our mission, creating lasting outcomes for our clients, and enabling people to succeed.”
Penthin has big shoes to fill in his new role. Current leader Hamidian steered the business through strong growth and international expansion. During his two terms in office, BearingPoint saw its revenue jump to over €1 billion, driven by organic consulting growth, the launch of new business lines, a total of 13 acquisitions, and further expansion in North America and Asia.
“With Stefan at the helm, I know that our business will be in the safest possible hands,” said Hamidian. “He is a highly trusted leader and has been exceptionally successful in creating client value, he has excellent abilities, deep industry expertise, and an outstanding commitment to our values and principles.”
BearingPoint has over 6,000 staff in 20+ countries. The firm’s heritage traces back to the early 20th century, although the firm adopted its current name in 2002.
