Shell executive Clare Harris joins energy advisor Power2X
Renewable energy advisory firm Power2X has strengthened its senior team with Clare Harris.
Appointed Executive Vice President for North West Europe and the Nordics, Clare Harris will oversee the firm’s operations in the region, spearheading business development and the delivery of large client engagements.
In her dual role as Executive Vice President of Investments and Portfolio, Harris will also collaborate with the leadership team to optimize Power2X’s investments portfolio and drive new investments.
Amsterdam-headquartered Power2X advises energy companies and industrial groups on the shift to renewable energy sources, including green and blue hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, and biofuels. The consulting firm supports the full project lifecycle, from ideation, business case and securing capital, through to the delivery of projects and operations.
“We typically get involved early on and bring capabilities and capital to realize large scale new energy projects,” explained Occo Roelofsen, CEO and Founder of Power2X and a former 20-year McKinsey & Company veteran.
Harris brings over 25 years of experience to the role, nearly all of which she gained at Shell. In her most recent role, she served as Chief Supply Chain Officer, leading Shell’s global supply chain, contracting and procurement teams. In the position, she was accountable for the delivery of $40 billion worth of non-hydrocarbon goods, services, marine, air and road logistics consumed by Shell’s global businesses and assets across 110 countries.
Earlier, Harris held senior roles in business development, delivery, and performance improvement.
“Clare’s proven track record of shaping new businesses and driving value growth in dynamic environments aligns perfectly with Power2X’s mission as we continue our rapid expansion and firm commitment to accelerating the energy transition,” said Roelofsen. “We look forward to embarking on our next exciting chapter with Clare on board.”
