Shopify names Cognizant global implementation partner
Shopify, Google Cloud and Cognizant have signed a three-way strategic alliance with the objective to help retailers improve the way they run their commerce.
Headquartered in Canada, Shopify is one of the world’s largest providers of platforms and solutions for retailers. Shopify’s software helps retailers with building e-commerce channels, managing stock and inventory, tracking sales, driving marketing and commercial efforts, payments and more.
Shopify and Google Cloud have been working together for many years, with Google Cloud providing the technology environment that hosts Shopify’s platform.
With Cognizant now also on board, Shopify and Google Cloud expect to be able to improve the way their joint offerings are implemented at retailers. “As a delivery partner, Cognizant will help execute digital transformation programs and deliver benefits across a range of retail scenarios,” said Ritu Khanna, Vice President for Partnerships at Shopify.
According to Khanna, Cognizant was chosen as a trusted implementation partner for its deep expertise in retail and proven advisory and technology implementation capabilities.
He added that Cognizant will also bring in a major network of clients (Cognizant is active in 80+ countries worldwide) and the knowhow to help further expand and improve the joint offering.
“We’re excited to align with Shopify and Google Cloud to transform the commerce experience for retail businesses by offering a pathway to generative AI-powered platform, technology and cloud modernization in one place,” said Sushant Warikoo, Senior Vice President and Head of Cognizant’s Retail business unit.
“Our goal is to unlock a set of commerce capabilities for retail businesses of all sizes and address future focused trends important to retailers and customers alike, including seamless, hyper-tailored customer journeys, personal AI shopping assistants, fraud mitigation, sustainability and more.”
