Interpath launches first mainland Europe office in Paris
UK-based consultancy firm Interpath has launched its first mainland Europe office in Paris.
Located in the heart of Paris (in the 9th arrondissement), the new office marks the first step in Interpath’s expansion plans into mainland Europe. The fresh French office will focus on advising both mid-market and large-cap companies in the local market, offering a full range of financial advisory, deal advisory and restructuring services.
“We’ve made no secret of our desire to expand into all major financial centres around the globe,” said Mark Raddan, CEO of Interpath. “Paris was always high on our list, and we are delighted to now be setting up a French presence.”
Launched in 2021, Interpath started life as the former restructuring practice of KPMG in the UK, following a carve-out backed by private equity group H.I.G. Capital. The firm had around 550 staff when it launched, and has since then growth further to around 750 staff. Diversification of services has been a key driver of growth, with financial advisory and deal support added to the portfolio.
Interpath’s ambition is to rapidly break through the barrier of 1,000 staff. “Paris is our first step into mainland Europe, we don’t intend to stop there. We fully intend to accelerate our growth plans further, aiming to establish bases in additional European markets, as we continue to shake up and disrupt the traditional professional services model,” said Raddan.
In France, Interpath plans a recruitment drive to bring together over 150 professionals by the end of 2024, including a core management team of 25 Managing Directors and Directors.
Leading the expansion drive is Baréma Bocoum, the former European Head of Turnaround and Restructuring at KPMG, appointed CEO of France at of Interpath. According to him, “with the arrival of Interpath, the French advisory market has not seen such a radical and wholesale shake-up for over 15 years.”
Bocoum is flanked by five Managing Directors who have been brought on board: Benjamin Tarac, Guilhem Maguin, Jack Rupchandani, Marc Civita, and Florent Steck.
