Group.one grows Webglobe arm with purchase of Prague-based C4 Webhosting
Swedish IT company Group.one has strengthened its presence in the Eastern European market with the acquisition of C4 Webhosting.
Based in Prague, C4 Webhosting (locally known as Český Hosting) is a regional web hosting provider, serving customers in the Czech Republic and a number of other Central and Eastern European countries such as Slovakia and Hungary.
Now part of Group.one, C4 Webhosting will continue to operate under its own brand, and integrate within the Webglobe business. Acquired by Group.one earlier this year, Webglobe is one of the largest hosting providers in the CEE region.
“The addition of C4 Webhosting to our portfolio is a next strategic step in our ongoing expansion across the CEE region. We are delighted to welcome C4's team and customers into the Webglobe brand. We look forward to supporting their continued success with our expertise in software as a service, hosting, and digital marketing services,” said Daniel Hagemeier, CEO of Group.one.
Headquartered in Sweden and with offices in 15 countries, Group.one serves over 2 million customers in Europe, predominantly small- and medium-sized enterprises. The group owns several brands, including One.com, Zoner, WP Rocket, Rank Math, Webglobe, and Hostnet. The group generated revenues of €350 million in its latest financial year.
