Aurelio Garcia-Miro and Andreas Fluhrer to co-lead Kroll’s Restructuring arm

Global consulting firm Kroll has hired Aurelio Garcia-Miro and Andreas Fluhrer – both have been appointed as Managing Directors and Co-Heads of its Restructuring practice in Europe.

Based in London, Aurelio Garcia-Miro brings extensive experience of advising in complex cross-border international restructurings and leading significant financial advisory engagements for debtors and creditors of large global corporations.

Prior to joining Kroll, Garcia-Miro was Senior Managing Director and Head of Latin America for Riveron (based out of the US). Before that, he was Senior Managing Director and led the Corporate Finance practice in Spain for FTI Consulting. Previously, he led the Restructuring practice of Alvarez & Marsal in Spain.

Key projects he worked on include leading the financial and turnaround advisory to Prudential and Cigna, co-leading the financial advisory to WOM Chile, Chile’s second largest mobile telecommunications operator which filed for Chapter 11, and leading the team advising the official Unsecured Creditors Committee in the Chapter 11 proceedings of LATAM Airlines.

Garcia-Miro has also served as a board member / board observer for several creditors of distressed operations.

Based in Munich, Andreas Fluhrer has over 20 years of experience in providing corporate finance services to a wide range of stakeholders (corporates, investors, banks, family offices) across EMEA and LATAM. He specializes in leading companies through transformation and restructuring situations and has served as Advisor, Executive Chairman, CxO and independent board member across various industries including, manufacturing, construction, life science, and heavy industries.

Prior to joining Kroll, Fluhrer was a Senior Managing Director in FTI Consulting's Corporate Finance practice. Prior to that, he worked at McKinsey & Company in its restructuring business and served Alvarez & Marsal in Spain.
