Cegeka appoints Gregory Verlinden as Vice President for Data & AI

Cegeka has appointed Gregory Verlinden as Vice President for Data & AI. He brings more than three decades of experience in the ICT sector to the international IT consultancy and services firm.

Gregory Verlinden, who formally assumes his new role on 1 April, will take the helm of the Data & AI service line, one of the fast-growing practices within Cegeka. The practice advises clients on their data strategy and the setup of their data architecture, and with the implementation of systems, the migration of data, and the use of data analytics tools.

The Data & AI arm also support clients with the ‘soft side’ of the domain, including building AI awareness and nurturing a data-driven culture.

Commenting on his appointment, Verlinden said that he has the ambition to further grow the service line, at a time when demand for data and artificial intelligence expertise is skyrocketing. “I look forward to contribute to the success of Cegeka and the firm’s clients.”

Part of the growth plan is to blend Data & AI’s offerings within the many other projects Cegeka delivers. Cegeka’s 10,000 employees (in 15 countries) work for around 2,500 customers across the full breadth of their digitalization journey, with data and AI increasingly serving as cornerstones of their transformation. “The possibilities are endless to make data & AI an integral part of all activities within Cegeka,” Verlinden noted.

Verlinden previously worked more than 18 years at Cognizant en IBM, where he held several leadership roles at a European level. He is based out of Belgium, where Cegeka is headquartered.
